Spring break typically invites a beachside escape, but this year marked a pivot towards health for me. Trading sand for doctor's visits led to a hypertension diagnosis, directing me towards the DASH diet — a prescription for healthier living. My initial skepticism transformed into excitement as I reimagined the diet, with the goal of making meals Delicious, Irresistible, Rich, and Tasty instead of Dull and Tasteless.
In embracing these changes, I've found support through Young Living's Joy essential oil, which has given me uplifted spirits and a positive outlook. This blend has been instrumental in keeping my motivation alive while embarking on a 90-day journey towards improved health. I am excited about exploring new recipes that will hopefully contribute to better health markers by my next doctor's visit.
I invite you to join me as I explore this path and share the flavorful dishes I'll be creating along the way. Let's embark on our wellness journeys together, sharing tips and encouragement, while also discovering how Young Living's essential oils can enhance our health adventures. Together, we can redefine wellness to be both pleasurable and nourishing!

Imagine ending your day enveloped in tranquility, with the gentle scent of nature guiding you into a restful slumber. Creating a calming evening routine with essential oils can be the key to better sleep and ultimate relaxation. Here's your step-by-step guide to winding down with these aromatic wonders.
Step 1: Set the Atmosphere
Begin by diffusing oils that promote relaxation in your bedroom approximately 30 minutes before you retire. Start with an Essential Oil like Lavender or Peace and Calming for its calming effects. Add a few drops of Cedarwood to bring depth and encourage deep sleep. This blend will transform your space into a peaceful haven that signals your body it's time to unwind.
Step 2: Prepare a Soothing Bath
A warm bath is your sanctuary before bed. Add two drops of Chamomile Essential Oil along with a scoop of Epsom salts. Mix the Chamomile EO with a little baking soda, then add the Epsom salts, remember oil and water don’t mix. Chamomile is renowned for its soothing properties, melting away stress and tension from a long day. Sink into the bath and let your worries dissolve.
Step 3: Massage with Intention
After bathing, massage your feet and temples with a relaxing oil blend. Mix a few drops of Lavender and Chamomile with a carrier oil like V6. This simple yet intentional act can deepen relaxation and ease you into a state ready for rest. Your skin will thank you.
Step 4: Breathing Ritual
Take five deep breaths before closing your eyes. Consider keeping a bottle of Peace & Calming at your bedside, inhaling deeply to reinforce calmness as you drift to sleep. This practice not only relaxes your body but also prepares your mind for peaceful dreams.
Customize your order to include: Cedarwood, Chamomile, Lavendar and Peace & Calming.

The holiday season can be magical, but let’s be real—it’s also one of the most stressful times of the year. Between shopping, decorating, hosting, and managing endless to-do lists, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. The good news? You don’t have to sacrifice your sanity to enjoy the season. Let’s talk about three simple ways to bring calm and balance to your holiday chaos.
1. Create a Daily Calm Ritual
Start your mornings with a moment of stillness to set the tone for your day. Even five minutes can make a difference!
- Diffuse a calming essential oil blend like lavender and frankincense to promote relaxation.
- Practice deep breathing: inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts, exhale for 4 counts.
- Jot down three things you’re grateful for to shift your mindset.
Try This: Combine 3 drops of lavender, 2 drops of cedarwood, and 1 drop of orange in your diffuser to create a peaceful morning vibe.
2. Take Mini Breaks with Aromatherapy
When the holiday hustle gets overwhelming, take a few minutes to pause and reset. Carry a roller blend or inhaler with you for quick relief.
- Feeling tense? Apply a stress-relief roller blend to your wrists or neck for instant calm.
- Overwhelmed by crowded stores or slow web browsers? Use peppermint oil to refresh your focus and energy.
Pro Tip: Create your own roller blend with 10 drops of your favorite essential oil (like chamomile) diluted in 10ml of fractionated coconut oil.
3. Simplify Your To-Do List
It’s tempting to do it all, but scaling back can help preserve your energy and joy.
- Prioritize the activities that matter most to you and your loved ones.
- Delegate tasks like wrapping gifts or cooking to friends or family.
- Use a planner to schedule time for yourself—even if it’s just a cozy hour with a good book and a cup of tea.
Bonus Tip: Keep your space cozy and inviting by diffusing a holiday blend like cinnamon, clove, and orange to uplift your mood.
Ready to Take Control of Your Challenges?
Don’t let stress steal your joy this season. Essential oils are an incredible tool to help you find calm amidst the chaos. Whether you’re new to aromatherapy or looking to expand your collection, I’ve got you covered.
Cheers!!
