Declutter Devotional: A 4-Week Marathon for the Heart and Home
Ready to run a different kind of marathon? 🏃♀️ Over the next four weeks, we’re going on a story-filled journey to declutter not just our homes, but our hearts. Each week is a new “chapter,” complete with a simple step, a short prayer, a playful coloring break, and a chance to win a weekly prize. Think of it as training for freedom—one small stride at a time.
Chapter 1: The Whisper to Begin
It usually starts with a whisper.
When you open that overstuffed drawer… trip on those shoes by the door… or sigh as you push the closet shut with your hip.
Something inside you says: “It’s time.”
But before you can reach for the pile, a character steps out of the shadows—Procrastination.
He leans against the doorframe, smirking: “Not today. You’re too busy. Tomorrow will be better.”
You pause. You consider. But then—your secret weapon comes out: a simple spray bottle of plant-based cleaner. You give the cluttered counter a wipe, breathe in the fresh scent, and realize something important:
You don’t need to do everything today. You just need to begin.
✨ This Week’s Action
Pick one drawer, one shelf, or one corner. Clear it, wipe it down, and celebrate the fresh space you’ve created.
🙏 Prayer
“Lord, give me the desire to begin today, even if it’s small. Help me see the beauty in little steps.”
🎨 Coloring Break
If Procrastination sneaks back in, grab your coloring sheet. Sometimes the best way forward is to pause, breathe, and color your way back to focus.
